The perfect base to explore
The hotel's convenient downtown location means that this is a perfect base from which to explore everything that Houston has to offer such as The Houston Zoo, the University of Houston, the NRG Stadium where you can see the Houston Texans or the BBVA Compass Stadium where you can catch a soccer match and see the Houston Dynamos. Within the vicinity of the hotel there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms look old and in need of an update
Some rooms in the hotel are starting to look very tired and dated with old furniture and worn furnishings. There are reports that some rooms have already been refurbished with another phase of renovations to start in the near future.
negative:
Smoky and smelly lobby from smokers
According to reports from some previous guests the lobby area can get quite smelly and smoky as inconsiderate smokers smoke just outside of the main door so the smoke blows back into the building.
negative:
Noisy neighbors and restless sleep
The walls seem to be quite thin so you may hear other guests in neighboring rooms or as they walk the corridors. Some rooms also get noise from the highway which may disturb your sleep, however there have been just as many positive reviews as there have been negative reporting that the hotel is quiet and noise is not an issue.
