The Standard Hollywood is situated on the Sunset Strip and is ideally located for those who wish to be in the center of Los Angeles and close to the majority of Hollywood attractions. Guests are also in the midst of a wide range of bars and restaurants and can immerse themselves in the Los Angeles nightlife and dining scene.

The staff at The Standard are extremely friendly and provide great customer service by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will make guests feel at home upon arrival. All staff are accommodating, attentive and happy to provide any information about the hotel and the area surrounding it.

A large number of guests were very complimentary to the hotel's unique and contemporary décor which gives the hotel a modern vibe. The rooms are decorated in an individual fashion and is fitted with many modern amenities that set this hotel apart from others.

Because of the hotel's central location and the fact that it is close to a number of Los Angeles attractions, some guests found that there was a large amount of noise coming from the street. Guests would recommend requesting a room that does not face the front of the hotel to combat this.

A number of guests found that there was a musty smell in the hallways and they found this disappointing.

While a large number of guests were very complimentary towards the modern décor, others felt that the hotel should be remodelled and that despite the modern appearance of the furnishings, they could do with better upkeep.
