Scrumptious homemade breakfast!
The positive reviews this property got were centred on the deliciously fresh and well-prepared breakfast! It had wide options such as pancakes, French toasts, yoghurts, freshly baked cookies and one of the best crepes ever made. The homemade breakfast was well-stocked so guests had an outstanding breakfast experience.
positive:
Superb property position in Kingston
Guests speak well of the inn's close proximity to the Kingston's historic waterfront and downtown area with a lot of major establishments. The property is also closely situated to the Queens University, Bellevue House, markets, restaurants, churches, and theatres.
positive:
Top-rate beds that offer relaxing sleep
Aside from the clean and soft mattresses, previous guests also admired the spacious size of the four-poster traditional beds. They were extremely comfortable and had a historic delicate design similar to the beds used in British films so guests were able to relax comfortably during their whole stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Insufficient size of rooms
Previous guests had some minor issues with the actual size of the rooms. Despite having clean and nicely-decorated rooms, they were quite uncomfortable with the small size which made it hard for them to move around, function normally, and fix their huge luggage. The rooms were in the small side and guests had difficulty storing large suitcases.
negative:
Paper-thin walls
Due to the thin wall structure of the rooms, it was quite noisy at times and guests can hear almost everything due to the paper-thin walls. Thus, guests are advised to wear earplugs to minimise the noise.
negative:
Substandard bathroom toiletries
There were many guests who were not impressed with the texture or quality of the toiletries provided especially the tissue paper. They were the scratchy type of toilet paper and were inexpensive, and some guests were also disappointed when they were not restocked when needed.
