Quiet, countryside location.
Guests stopping over at The Royal Oak on their way to further destinations note that the inn is easily reached from the M5. Located behind the pub and facing onto a courtyard, guests often comment on the "peace and quiet".

Several guests noted that their dogs are entirely welcome. At least one guest brought along a St. Bernard who felt right at home. The surrounding countryside is a lovely place to walk them.

Though the restaurant, and possibly some of the rooms advertised with photographs, have been nicely updated with modern decor and lighting, several guests have reported accommodations that are still in need of a decorator's touch.
