Hotel The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, USA)

The décor has been described as modern and stylish as well as being light and airy. Many guests observed that the rooms have been recently decorated and were equally complimentary about the spacious and well-presented bathrooms which featured walk-in showers and up-to-date fixtures and fittings.

The hotel overlooks the ocean thus providing a very scenic and serene backdrop. Many guests enjoyed sitting on their balconies admiring the wonderful views. The hotel is set within its own private grounds and there are no noisy clubs or bars nearby thus ensuring a peaceful and relaxed stay.

Guests were pleased to find plenty of things to do on-site during their free time. The outdoor pools were very popular as well as the modern and fully-equipped gym. Many also enjoyed going to the games room whilst those who had the spa treatments said that they thoroughly enjoyed their experience.

Some of the guests objected to being quite far from the center of Santa Barbara as it is a 15-minute drive away. Those who wanted to dine out or visit some local bars were also disappointed to find that they had to drive in order to reach the nearest amenities.

The outdoor pools as well as the sun bathing area can get very busy and feel cramped and crowded. Guests said that the loungers were pushed too close together and that the amount of people by the pool prevented them from feeling relaxed and at ease.

The hotel is close to the freeway and some guests mentioned that the traffic noise was quite intrusive which prevented many from leaving their balcony and patio doors open.
