Hotel The Read House, Downtown City Center (Chattanooga, USA)

The hotel in its current form was built in 1926 in Gregorian design. The historic aspect is appealing to many guests. Known celebrities like Al Capone stayed in this hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The boutique design reflects the historic location and many guests liked this aspect of their stay.

Being in the downtown area of Chattanooga the location is great to stroll to restaurants, night entertainment and shopping. Many attractions are in walking distance as well, so if you like a centrally located hotel this is a great choice.

Many guests liked the helpful and friendly staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and valet parking. If guests had any requests or problems they did their best to accommodate them.

Being in a historic building not all rooms offer the same space. The cheaper rooms are generally smaller and you might want to consider how important space is for you before booking, as some guests felt they did not get a large enough room.

Some rooms do not offer much of a view. If it is important to see some of the historic buildings surrounding the hotel you might want to check with the hotel which rooms actually offer this view that is advertised.

Some guests did not like that you had to use valet service to park or you have to look for parking space on the street yourself. Though the valet service receives good reviews it might not be to everybody's liking when you have to use a service like that.
