Hotel The Moat House (Stafford, United Kingdom)

The Moat House receives unstinting praise from its clients for the quality and variety of the food served both in the Orangery Restaurant and the Bar. The breakfast is also well appreciated with guests commenting that all the hot food is replenished frequently.

The hotel's guest rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. An added bonus is the availability of free parking for guests. The hotel grounds were found to be beautifully maintained, and the view from the Orangery Restaurant adds to the enjoyment of the meals.

The staff are found to be well motivated, courteous and professional, and the hotel's tranquil location, despite the proximity of the M6 Motorway, is extremely attractive, making it a great place for a wedding or business event.

There was no Wi-Fi available in the room, but more seriously there was a complete lack of hot water in the shower.

A guest was disappointed and surprised that the dress code in the restaurant was not adhered to, and not happy that electronic cigarettes were allowed, especially in the restaurant. Another guest found that the bed was acceptable but not the most comfortable they had experienced.

The breakfast service was found to be rather slow. However, in summary the Moat House is an establishment that has a loyal and satisfied clientèle who appreciate the quality of the food, and above all the dedication and professionalism of the staff. It is not a cheap option, but many guests comment that it offers value for money.
