Extremely clean rooms!
Shinjuku New City Hotel Tokyo's rooms are spotlessly clean, as guests did not find dust on the furnishings or pieces of trash under the beds. The floors are vacuumed well and the curtains did not have stains, so even if you are a keen observer, you will still be impressed.

Rooms and beds are small
The rooms are not that big making most guests struggle a little just to find space for their luggage. The beds are little small too. Despite the small size, the beds are still comfortable to sleep on, so guests also noted that they still experienced a cosy sleep.

According to many guests' reviews, some of the staff does not have a good command in speaking English. This issue led to minor misunderstandings, but the employees maintained composure and still managed the situations properly.

Bathrooms and lift have strange odours
Guests are a bit bothered because the bathrooms smell musty upon their arrival, while the lift smells like smoke at times. You can call the staff, however, and they will spray air fresheners as soon as possible.
