A central location
The location of the hotel is so convenient. It's close to numerous shops, bars, and restaurants and is within walking distance of Riverfront Park and Spokane Falls. Guests can also enjoy the convenience of the hotel shuttle, with airport service.
positive:
Historic doesn't mean uncomfortable
The details of the art deco designed and decorated hotel are simply beautiful throughout the building, in the common areas and guest rooms. However, the historic nature of the hotel doesn't detract from the functional and comfortable guest features and fixtures.
positive:
A touch of class
Everything at this hotel has that extra touch of class and personality that takes a boring standard hotel stay to the level of charming and delightful. The rooms, common areas, ballrooms and lounges are beautifully appointed. There is even a BBQ area where guests can kick back to casual and then have their bed turned down every night with candy.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Missing some four star features
This hotel misses some of the nicer luxury features like having a coffee and tea maker and a wet bar in every room. Also, the rooms only have a single chair for the sitting area instead of a comfortable couch. There is no valet service and guests have to call their own cabs.
negative:
You'll pay more than you think
The lack of some standard hotel features will add unnecessary costs to your vacation or trip. The lack of a coffee maker will mean a trip to the lobby Starbucks and the lack of a complimentary breakfast means guests will have to venture out for food. Also, the parking price per day is rather expensive.
negative:
By the book
The hotel staff follows a strict adherence to policies and procedures and allows that to trump customer service. Any large complaints get sent up the corporate pipeline and the impersonality of this gives a bad impression.
