Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent facilities
Guests are appreciative of the range of facilities available within the hotel and club. The pool is an obvious highlight for many guests although the health club access and the wide choice of dining options and bars are also appreciated. Loaner bikes, laundry and car hire add convenience.
positive:
Comfortable and spacious rooms
Reviews of the rooms are generally positive. There are some minor issues but guests often describe the accommodation as clean and comfortable if a little small. Those guests who benefitted from a balcony and a whirlpool tub felt particularly relaxed.
positive:
Convenient location
Guests find the location convenient. Notwithstanding the fact that you'll find much of what you need on site, when you want to explore the area, there's plenty to see and do nearby. If you don't fancy driving, Adamstown and Broadmeadow stations are reasonably close to the hotel.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Automatic charges
Many previous guests have expressed their disappointment in the hotel's policy to pre-authorise a significant charge on credit cards as prepayment for minibar items and purchases within the club. Guests found this rather presumptuous and, in some cases, led to some difficulties with budgeting as the money is not refunded in a timely manner.
negative:
Issues with air-conditioning
A number of guests mention that they encountered issues with the air-conditioning units in their rooms. The most common complaint is that the units are so noisy that you'll need to turn them off overnight, although some guests also mentioned that the units dripped water.
negative:
Complex can feel crowded
As the West Leagues Clubs is a popular venue, it can get very busy with non-guests, especially over the weekend. This led some guests to conclude that the complex was far too crowded for their tastes and, in some cases, left them unable to get a table for on-site dining.
