Hotel The Croft (Ashford, United Kingdom)

Idyllic locale with surrounding gardens, pleasant for families with children who enjoying running and playing outside.  A quiet, small hotel with free parking and a very nice layout and design.  Very few other guests are typically booked at the same time,

Cosy with no frills amenities.  The beds are quite comfortable.  Good quality furnishings and a decent price accommodation.

From the full English breakfast to the delightful desserts, the on-site dining is definitely the highlight here.  Superb Italian fare, reasonably priced and promptly served.

The manager here appears to have few fans.  Previous guests have complained that he refused to let them in until at least 4:00 pm even though he could clearly see them through the window and quite likely heard their telephone calls ringing.   When facing

Don't count on getting any Wi-Fi; the connection is very shaky.  Hot water is hit or miss and the pressure is low.  Decor is dated, the floors are dirty and linens are stained.  The smell in the air is quite stale. Loo paper is often lacking.  

The building is often kept in utter darkness throughout the common areas. This, combined with the cobwebs and spiders abound, inspires an overall strange feeling.
