The food in the pub is standard pub fare and is very well prepared. It's not expensive and the portions are big enough for most guests. There's not a whole lot on the menu but what there is tasty enough.

The people that work in this hotel are quite polite and extend a warm welcome to all that stay there. You'll be quite happy with their attitude and you'll find that should you have any questions about the town, they are more than willing to help.

If you like to stay in hotels but are travelling on a tight budget, then this hotel is ideal. The rates are affordable and the rooms warm and clean. It's not the best value considering the standard but it is a cheap and clean option.

The rooms at this hotel are very dated and in need of some TLC. There are more than a few guests that have been surprised at how old and shabby the décor is and feel that it's a little too old even for a pub with rooms.

This is a smoke-free property but there are guests that don't feel that this rule applies to them. Complaints from non-smoking guests fall on deaf ears and the smell remains throughout the hotel no matter how many windows are opened.

This hotel has a lively bar and single glazed windows. This is not a winning combination and guests have complained of being kept awake throughout the night. They also said that the walls are paper thin meaning that you can hear all that is going on next door.
