Guests can't seem to find enough complimentary words to describe the standard of the pools and villas at the Amala. Suffice to say, you'll find they are stylish, comfortable and private. Aside from the standard amenities, guests appreciate the extras such as finding rose petals scattered on their bed.

It seems that you'll enjoy a taste of true Balinese hospitality at this resort. Reviews almost unfailingly suggest that the service comes with a smile here. Any issues, of which there are very few, are handled promptly and to the satisfaction of guests.

Dining at this resort attracts plenty of positive feedback in its own right. Guests find the menu of healthy food inspiring and those who took advantage of the Balinese cooking classes were impressed. The way the staff prepare in-room dining settings is also complimented.

Although the location appealed to many guests, some found the built-up surroundings a little less appealing than they had hoped. A few guests mention that although the Amala is stunning, they would choose to stay closer to the beach if they returned.

Also due to the location of the resort, you can expect there to be a little background noise to contend with. In fact, some guests mention an almost constant hum of traffic noise.

The resort offers a local shuttle service but this service is a drop-off service only. It's not a huge issue, of course, but guests do need to find a taxi or walk back to the resort.
