Hotel Talaris Conference Center (Seattle, USA)

Talaris is located in a beautiful green residential area with 18 acres of park scenery, walking trails and a nature-filled peaceful environment. Many guests spotted eagles and other wildlife near the hotel grounds.

The breakfast is plentiful and fulfilling, even catering to specific dietary needs with many healthy options. Fresh fruit and hot waffles are included in the breakfast buffet. Guests enjoyed the pond views from the breakfast area.

Talaris is in a University area and the neighbourhood feels like it. Plently of shopping and dining options are within walking distance, including the Laurelhurst Commercial District. The hotel is also in a good location for getting around town, close to the freeway.

Guests have commented that the hotel is in need of upgrading. The rooms and the hotel feel old, especially with the outdated 70s-like decor. The furnishings look outdated, the carpet seems dirty and there is a musty smell lingering in various areas of the hotel.

The showers have poor water pressure and the water often never gets hot enough for most guests' preference. Furthermore, the towels feel old and scratchy.

If you're planning on staying in the area, your location is quite conveniently placed to everything you may need. However, if you plan on exploring Seattle, it is suggested you have your own car as public transport links to downtown are complicated and not quick. The staff is very kind at Talaris and the concierge will be happy to give you the best directions possible should you choose to rely on public transport.
