Hotel Surfside (Newquay, United Kingdom)

Guests reported that they received a warm welcome upon arrival to Surfside and the staff are always smiling and chatting with guests. The host is very accommodating and nothing is too much for him when it comes to his guests whether it be helping to plan a birthday party or helping guests plan their stay in Newquay.

Guest rooms feature comfortable beds and furnishings, tasteful decor and a clean environment with no dust to be found anywhere. Also reported was soundproof walls, plenty of water pressure in the showers, lots of storage space and all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay.

The breakfast served each morning features plenty of high-quality, healthy, filling and well-prepared items that make for a perfect start to a long day. The portions are generous and everything is served by friendly and accommodating staff who have no problem fulfilling special requests.

Guests reported that the guest rooms at Surfside are quite small with little space to move about and store items. Also reported was tired decor and old furnishings, stained carpet, a lack of water in the shower when the water is being used elsewhere in the building, small and uncomfortable beds, cracked windows and low ceilings.

Some guests reported that there is some noise around the hotel coming from traffic on the road and guests returning from the pubs late at night. Also reported was the fact that the hotel is not as close to the town centre as they were led believe and it is quite a long walk.

While the staff is friendly, some guests reported that they can be over the top sometimes because they are always hovering about during meals and around the hotel and it can be intrusive at times.
