The staff at this hotel are welcoming, friendly and courteous, in spite of the fact that it is worth mentioning that not all staff speak English.

This hotel's location is one of its major attractions, being peaceful and in an iconic spot, even though at some times of the year it is necessary to go to the town by car or taxi.

Value for money is seen to be very good by many guests, with large comfortable rooms and a quiet location that is nevertheless near the main tourist attractions. The (seasonal) swimming pool is well liked.

The standard of housekeeping leaves something to be desired, with the cleaning of the bedrooms, and of the carpet both being mentioned, as well as a musty smell. The impression is that staff have too many rooms to look after, and are overwhelmed by the amount of work. Some rooms had not been cleaned by the early evening, and consequently items such as toilet paper had to be requested.

Breakfast was generally thought to be only just adequate, not generous in quantity and with not enough variety. The breakfast area is also small and gets overcrowded.

This is an older property, and many guests felt it to be dated and in need of an update, some rooms are very dark. The Wi-Fi is patchy, the water pressure varies too, with the result that taking a shower can become uncomfortable, and keys need re -keying from time to time..
