Hotel Sunset Plaza (Karon Beach, Thailand)

Guests were enamoured with the spectacular views found in all units. The West facing Sunset Plaza lived up to its name, providing mesmerising sunsets for guests to enjoy from the comfort of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, or spacious private balcony.

While a few guests noted that some units seemed to be better than others, for the most part, guests were happy with well designed, modern accommodation. Units were equipped with everything that guests needed to feel right at home, including ample pots, pans, and cutlery. A warm shower with good water pressure was the icing on the cake.

Guests could get where they needed to be in a short amount of time when staying here. Phuket town centre could be reached in 25 minutes by guests, and the Chalong Temple was an easy four kilometres away. 45 minutes from the airport, guests also liked having a 24 hour supermarket within a few minutes' walking distance, which was handy for stocking up on groceries.

Guests had a list of things that they wished they were made aware of before visiting this property. Located on a very steep hill, even the fittest of guests had problems with the exhausting climb to their rooms. A surprise electricity fee and sporadic cleaning service were other concerns that guests had.

It might be impractical to have a working holiday at this hotel. Several guests complained of intermittent Internet access.

It seems the fitness centre has room for improvement, according to guests who often encountered broken equipment. Guests also would have appreciated a better variety of exercise machines.
