Positive Reviews
positive:
A charming Riviera sojourn.
This is a small boutique hotel, with a lot of French character that seemed to draw poetic descriptions from many guests. The ocean front views from every double room are a big hit. Many guests suggest requesting a higher floor room with a balcony as views of the ocean and local nightlife are entertaining and stunning.
positive:
The location is superb.
Hotel guests have the option of both a private and a public beach – both of which got good reviews from guests. The hotel is also located in the old part of town and near Castle Hill, which are picturesque and charming. Getting around is also very easy, both locally and to other nearby locations like Monaco.
positive:
Champagne and snacks.
The hotel goes the extra mile to welcome guests, as a few guests wrote in slight amazement upon finding not only complimentary bubbly and snacks in their rooms, but a handwritten welcome note. Guests also give the staff themselves high marks for efficient, friendly and bilingual service.

The rooms are a bit small.
Some guests felt that their rooms were a bit too small with not enough storage space.
negative:
Book breakfast ahead of time.
Although guests complimented the quality of breakfast, some noted that it was a bit too expensive if not pre-booked with the room. Those who skipped breakfast because of cost found good, local eateries close by.
negative:
A few old building eccentricities.
This is a grand old hotel, but it does come with a few eccentricities – in particular some guests noted that the lift between floors was a bit slow.
