Cheap, comfortable and (mostly) clean. Conveniently close to the centre of town, seafront and various dining, nightlife, entertainment and shopping venues. The continental breakfast is set up daily for an additional fee, usually including croissants, toast, cheese, butters and jams, meats, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. Numerous alternatives are a stroll away as well.

These rooms work with the bare essentials. Average beds with standard bedding provided, working televisions, decent showers and toilets, and adequate Wi-Fi. If you're looking for a place close to town to rest your head for a night or two, you should be fine here. Best bet: ask to see your room before you pay to make sure it's to your liking.

The staff are warm, helpful and welcoming. Their hospitality and excellent customer service probably make up for any flaws in the venue.

It may take you a while to find a place to park along the street since there is no on-site parking provided. Allow for extra time for this endeavour; at least ten to fifteen minutes during busier times.

Ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issues. The stairs to the third floor are many.

Some felt their rooms weren't clean enough upon arrival and asked to switch. Others reported unsavoury neighbours and the smell of odd smoke. Occasional confusion has arisen over improperly booked rooms; guests ended up with shared bathroom facilities rather than the private facilities they'd desired - do print your receipt to confirm which type of room you've booked and bring it with you.
