The hostel is in an older house above a pub. It is typically filled with groups of young adults and may subject guest to loud noise from outside pub revellers throughout the night.

Previous guest reported tired conditions specifically in the en suite bathroom, smelling of mould and smoke. Others reported instances of cockroaches and trouble regulating the water temperature and pressure in the shower. Minor issues included a broken lift, inability to open the windows, damp and hanging wallpaper, ripped carpets, dirty floors, missing shower curtain and a lack of electrical wall sockets. Several guest feel the hostel could use some refurbishment.
