Positive Reviews
positive:
An array of dining choices.
There are a multitude of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at Quality Inn Modesto, thanks to its on-site restaurant and cafe. If you're not in the mood for spending too much on breakfast, there's also a much-appreciated complimentary spread offered in the dining area, though the choices are obviously fewer.
positive:
Budget-friendly comfort.
The general appliances and furnishings in guestrooms are a step above what you might expect from a hotel at this price point. The value is, overall, quite good for the Modesto area, and you'll have plenty of free funds to use for shopping or general excursions.
positive:
Ideal for tourism.
There are a range of tourist attractions situated within a few miles of the property, making it a great base of operations for planning your trip and checking out everything from wineries to shopping malls. The Modesto area is fairly clustered with its sites, decreasing travel time.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Questionable surroundings.
The police were frequent visitors to the hotel, and numerous guests felt unsafe walking around the exterior of the building at night due to crowds of belligerent people that had gathered nearby. This is a security issue that Quality Inn Modesto should work to resolve as soon as possible.
negative:
Infrequent cleaning service.
The cleaning crew at Quality Inn Modesto doesn't always service the rooms on a daily basis, and in many reported cases, showed up after three or four days without any cleaning. This is unacceptable for general cleaning schedules, and especially if guests request more frequency.
negative:
Beware of bed bugs.
Multiple guests reported finding bed bug bites along their arms and legs after sleeping for a night at this hotel, which points to an infestation of bed bugs that the staff has failed to properly address. Consider asking for fresh linens upon check-in.
