Hotel Sonesta Select Laguna Hills Irvine Spectrum (Laguna Hills, USA)

Guests loved the convenient location of this property, which is situated at the intersection of I-405 and I-5. This made for excellent access to LA, Irvine, San Fernando and beyond and ensured guests great links to California’s wider freeway system.

Boasting plentiful meeting space and great road connections, it’s perhaps not all that surprising to learn that this Courtyard location was especially popular with business travelers. Many found it to be well-equipped for their business gatherings, with the on-site bistro/bar a plus, a little perk that added a more casual element to less formal client meetings.

On the whole, the vast majority of guests found that this hotel offered comfortable accommodation. Additionally, new arrivals were happy to find that the front desk staff here were helpful and efficient, offering directions and restaurant suggestions for the local area as needed.

The freeway location was hard to fault here, but many guests were unhappy to find that their rooms offered less than lovely views of the adjacent highway. While noise wasn’t necessarily an issue, the visual effect was less than restful.

Many guests had problems accessing the in-room Wi-Fi connection here. This was vexing, especially for those staying here on business. Additionally, many felt that the units were dated and could really use a refresh.

There was a lot of confusion over breakfast at this property. This hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast, but for some reason, those who booked via third-party websites were told that a breakfast buffet was included in the rate. This was a source of disappointment among guests.
