The staff is wonderful
The warm, friendly couple who owns Soar Chapel Guest House cannot do enough for you. They welcome you with homemade Welshcakes and a smile and are happy to steer you in the direction of local restaurants and shops as well as the many popular tourist destinations located nearby. They even offer leaflets providing directions and pertinent information..
positive:
The guest rooms are clean and well appointed
The guest rooms and bathrooms, even the shared facilities, are spotlessly clean. More amenities than you can imagine like Out of Eden toiletries, bathrobes, bottled water, pen, paper and a small sewing kit rival those you'd find at a larger hotel. And the comfortable beds, 100% cotton sheets and towels make for a superb stay.
positive:
Breakfast is delicious
The cooked to order breakfast could not be more delicious. There are plenty of choices and large portions on offer, and the locally sourced ingredients make everything taste fresh.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The car park is small
The car park at Soar Chapel Guest House is rather small. Although it can accommodate most of the vehicles that park there, when the hotel is full, you may have trouble finding a parking space.
negative:
There's no lift
This guest house does not have a lift and the steps leading to the upstairs guest rooms and lounge are a bit steep. This could prove to be problematic if you have low mobility but luckily, there are ground floor accommodations available.
negative:
You may have to share a bathroom
Some of the guest rooms here do not have en suite facilities and must share a bath. This could be problematic for those who like their privacy, so be sure to request an en suite of this is important to you.
