Positive Reviews
positive:
Plenty of privacy and space in suites
Each suite is generous in size with separate bedrooms, bathrooms and living and dining areas as well as the kitchen to make any break feel as comfortable and home-like as possible. This makes Snow Lake Lodge ideal for family holidays or getaways with friends, particularly given the two full bathrooms in each suite.
positive:
Peaceful without being secluded
The lodge has the amazing benefit of being surrounded by woods and just a mile away from Big Bear Lake as well as the mountains, giving it a remote and tranquil feel. However aside from the numerous daytime activities, it is also not far from the town which enjoys a lively nightlife as well as having a number of restaurants and a place to buy groceries.
positive:
Complimentary breakfast
The lodge serves a free continental breakfast daily for all overnight guests which might be more convenient for those not up to cooking/preparing food in the morning or who are yet to buy their own food, for instance.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No elevators but some ramps
Although the highest suite is three floors up, there are no elevators available. There are however ramps to get to the first floor for those using wheelchairs or prams for example, so request a room on a lower floor if this is a problem for you.
negative:
Groups larger than five will have to split
The units are designed for four people, but one extra person can be accommodated on request. Parties any bigger than that will need to book an extra room/rooms.
negative:
Thin walls and ceilings
There doesn't seem to be much in the way of soundproofing the units, so there may be some sound ingress from a room adjacent to or above yours. The quietest rooms are those on the top floor, without any rooms above them and being furthest from any traffic or activity downstairs.
