You can’t fault the cleanliness. Bathroom facilities are very spacious – certainly not cramped. It’s family run and whilst groups are welcome, there’s no rowdy, party atmosphere; just the peace and quiet that most  yearn for.

It’s just on the edge of the city and this is reflected in the very attractive prices. Although you can walk to the centre, Windsor Railway Station is nearby and so too is the tram stop. Transport isn’t a problem.

Members of staff are cheerful and obliging. It’s certainly worth engaging them in conversation in order to feed off their local knowledge. There are plenty of restaurants nearby; it’s just a question of finding those offering best value. Also nearby is the tram stop with easy access to other areas of the city.

The property is right next to the busy railway track. Activity starts very early so prepare for an unwanted wake up call.

Dormitories mean bunks. Not everyone’s choice and they’re not overly comfortable. All singles – no doubles - and there’s hardly any storage or hanging space for clothes.

It’s all a bit basic at breakfast time where you prepare dishes yourself. There are unnecessary and harshly worded notes around the place, stressing the blindingly obvious and telling you to clear up after yourself. *If only there were as many serviettes (*there aren’t any) as there are exclamation marks!!
