Positive Reviews
positive:
Individual and Personal.
Shipton Grange House is a very individualistic bed and breakfast, and guests are made very much to feel “one of the family”. The owners are very much dog friendly and, whilst the dogs are not intrusive towards guests this is probably a place for dog lovers, certainly not for those who are uncomfortable with them.
positive:
Spotless and Well Placed.
Guests found their rooms to have loads of character, and to be spotlessly clean with it. There are two pubs within walking distance, one traditional, the other more contemporary. At the nearer one, The Lamb, there is good food available. A visitor from Holland loved the family atmosphere here, and was impressed by the nearby Wychwood Wild Garden.
positive:
Great Hospitality.
The lady of the house comes in for almost universal praise, and the reception given and the attention to her guests is like that of a hostess in a country house -which this is- to her personal friends and relatives. The breakfast she cooks and serves personally is described by guests as delicious, and there is a fund of local information available to guests if they have any doubts as to how to make the most of their stay in the locality. The locality is tranquil, almost guaranteeing a good night's rest.
