Positive Reviews
positive:
Close to large shopping centre
While guests had a couple of problems with the location of the hotel, the fact that it was almost opposite a large shopping centre was certainly appreciated. Guests found it to be a convenient one stop shop for all their everyday purchases. Its food court was also useful and enabled them to fuel up when required.
positive:
Convenient underground parking
The hotel is a modern mid-rise business hotel, and has ample underground parking available. A couple of guests mentioned that this was useful in summer, since it meant their car wouldn't be left out under the blazing sun, allowing the inside to turn into a kitchen oven.
positive:
Sleek and modern design
Though, of course, not every single guest liked the décor, the majority certainly did. It was described as the epitome of the modern business hotel style. Nothing very fancy that would wow anyone, but more importantly, subdued so as to offend almost no one either.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Far from the beach and the town centre
This was perhaps the biggest negative in guest's eyes. The hotel is situated in the far north of the city and is pretty far from the beach and the town centre. While public transport to these areas was said to be available, this was just a hassle for those who really had these areas as their target attractions.
negative:
Rooms not well soundproofed
Many guests complained about noise from both the busy street outside as well as adjacent rooms. It seems that rooms are not properly soundproofed.
negative:
Restaurant often closed
There were a simply extraordinary number of guests who mentioned that they found the hotel's main restaurant to be closed on arbitrary nights where one would reasonably expect it would be open and doing a roaring trade, including weekend nights.
