About Sea Home Boutique
The Sea Home Boutique Hotel is an intimate and original place to stay in Tanjung Bungah. Furnished in a quaint fusion of Peranaken and Victorian styles, the converted mansion is bursting with character.
The twelve en-suite rooms are all decorated in a unique fashion – blending western and Asian cultures. Each has its own balcony, air-conditioning flat-screen TV and even a solar shower.
The hotel offers parking, Wi-Fi and even drinks for free in the lobby. The main feature of the Sea Home Boutique Hotel, however, has to be the pool. Although small, it is a pleasant environment for relaxing in and around.
Guests can enjoy a drink from the pool bar before heading out to eat in one of the restaurants nearby the hotel.
The sights and attractions of Tanjung Bungah are all within easy reach, including the beach, the market and its “floating” mosque.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Sound-proofing is poor
The hotel is right on a main road and the level of noise seems to vary according to different guests or perhaps different rooms. A back room is considered, however, to be the best bet to avoid it. It is not just the location which keeps guests awake. Some comment that they can hear other people in the corridors or rooms as if they were in the same room. There seems to be some work needed on the soundproofing in general.
negative:
Staff speak limited English
You could find communication with the staff a little bit tricky here as they speak little English. For some guests this is just a small hurdle to overcome, however, some find the staff to be pretty unfriendly and indifferent. Maybe this is just a consequence of the language barrier.

Breakfast is not great
A few guests are disappointed with the breakfast. The standard isn't great and there isn't a lot of variety or even a lot of it at all. It is usually a western type breakfast, however, some guests are pleased to have been served more typical Asiatic food on request.
