Those not wanting to walk the hillside trails said they were able to easily take the Mönchsberg elevator down to the city and the Museum of Modern Art.

This apparently tastefully restored castle wowed guests with what they described as exclusive, romantic, old world luxury given a modern feel and update. On this note, people said the spotless rooms and bathrooms were handsomely equipped with all of the modern amenities they could need, and these were thought to be exceedingly comfortable.

Guests were impressed with the reportedly attentive, professional and welcoming staff members, for whom nothing was said to be too much trouble, while on top of this, guests were greeted with a glass of champagne, and the food and service in the restaurant was said to be of a fantastic standard. Those who stayed at Schloss Mönchstein also mentioned finding a beautiful spa area, an equally excellent pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, and lovely, on-site wellness treatments.
