About Scala de Faro

Hotel Scala de Faro is a brand new 5-star Boutique Hotel, located in the heart of Old Venetian Harbor in Chania city at Crete island. The history of the building begins in the 15th century. From this period the building is endowed with a unique preserved staircase called Scala. and because the location of the building is exactly opposite of the lighthouse which we called in Greek language Faros, the name of the hotel Scala de Faro was created. We named the first floor Piano Nobile as first layer of the Venetian historic background. The building was growing through the ages so from the Ottoman time the second floor named Ontas was added. The last floor, called Doma is the youngest one and it's dated from the beginning of 20th century.
