Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent spot for walking Krakow.
Guests found Royal to have a great location for exploring by foot; minutes from Wawel Castle, and easy walk to the old town, old market square, the Jewish quarter and Schindler’s Factory. Tram lines, handy to hop-on, hop-off buses and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants are all in the vicinity.
positive:
Gorgeous old historic hotel.
According to reviews, this historic hotel is gorgeous with a charming air of faded grandeur, and the rooms were found to be spacious with high ceilings, everything you need, and some lovely city and park views.
positive:
Restaurant fare, breakfasts buffets superb.
The food in restaurant below was considered superb at reasonable prices, while the all you can eat breakfasts were considered equally delicious with wide selection of dishes on offer.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tram noise and no air conditioning.
Some guests said there was noise from the trams passing outside, but you can try for rooms away from the street. This may be a good idea for light sleepers as the lack of air conditioning means that you may need to leave the windows open or commit to a hot sleep.
negative:
No tea and coffee, free parking, Wi-Fi limited.
A few guests were disappointed to find a lack of tea and coffee facilities, others were not happy at having to pay for parking, and the Wi-Fi signal in the hotel appears to be a bit limited in areas, so perhaps make inquiries if you really need the internet during your stay.
negative:
Could do with refurbishment, but….
Some of those who stayed thought the hotel to be dated and in need of refurbishment, but nevertheless still found it beautiful and functional, while others liked it the way it was.
