Hotel Rosery Country House (Newmarket, United Kingdom)

The rooms have been described as being of decent size with large 4-poster beds and plenty of storage space. The bathrooms were also said to be spacious and equipped with modern fixtures and fittings. Guests complimented the traditional decor of the rooms which they said was appropriate for a historic country house. If you prefer old-world charm as opposed to ultra-modern then you'll certainly be in your element.

The hotel is surrounded by its own private gardens which provide a very tranquil and picturesque backdrop. Guests appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle yet also found it convenient being just a short drive away from the country's most popular race courses.

Guests were highly complementary of the freshly prepared breakfasts stating that they were well prepared and made from quality ingredients. The buffet offerings were said to feature a wide range of nutritious items including an extensive range of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts.

Some of the guests mentioned that the 8 am breakfast start was quite late particularly for those who needed to leave the hotel early whilst others objected to the fact that dinner was only served until 9 pm thus inconveniencing those arriving at the hotel later in the evening.

There is no lift on the premises and guests whose rooms were located on the upper floors said that they found it quite tiring climbing the narrow stairs. If you have any mobility issues it's advisable to ask for a ground floor room.

. Guests who wanted to catch-up on some work in their rooms objected to the fact that there was no desk  on which they could write and place their laptops.
