Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location near shopping and public transit
The Roosevelt Inn is a convenient stop in Northeast Philadelphia, that puts you near the bus lines and immediate shopping areas. You can get to eateries and shops within minutes, and if driving, quickly be on I-76 or I-95. This serves as a decent base for exploring downtown Philadelphia or the outlying more rural counties.
positive:
Clean basic accommodations for the price
This is budget pricing for budget essentials. You get a room and a bathroom that's just enough for the basics while not being at home. If you're not there during the weekend for the free breakfast, there are several places for a quick bite nearby, as well as a gas station to fill up the car.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Outside and inside noise are constant annoyances
Whether or not you keep the windows open, you're likely to hear noise. There's quite a bit of traffic from the highway, and thin walls mean that almost every sound is going to echo throughout the hallway and between rooms. Be advise to pack ear plugs if staying here.
negative:
Shady guests make it uncomfortable staying here
Not all guests feel entirely comfortable and secure staying here because of transient check-ins and check-outs, and suspicious behavior and dialogues. The immediate surroundings are a bit dim and uneasy at night, which adds to the concern.
negative:
Staff isn't very friendly, polite, or attentive
The staff isn't noted much for warm and friendly demeanors and attention. They do their job almost matter of factly, and don't create a lot of ambience for dialogue or interaction.
