Positive Reviews
positive:
Within walking distance of old town attractions.
Guests who stayed at Rialto found it to be within easy walking distance of all the old town attractions, including Los Ramblas, shops, restaurants, and the port, not to mention itself being in the centre of the Gothic Quarter and close to Metro Stations.
positive:
Cheap, basic base.
You may find this to be suitable for you if you are only looking for something basic, relatively clean and cheap to use as a base while you are exploring the city.
positive:
Easy reception, kind welcome.
The reception was said to be the high point of the stay, from the actual lobby itself, which seems to be the nicest part of the hotel, to the efficient and early check-in from kind and friendly staff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
In need of renovation.
A few guests were disappointed by what they found at Rialto in comparison to the photos, and many said the hotel and rooms were well in need of renovation, but overall clean.
negative:
Noise during night.
Whether it was noise from the busy street outside, or from other guests through the apparently thin walls, some of those who stayed experienced sleep disruption.
negative:
A/C problems, Wi-Fi weak in rooms.
Guests occasionally said their air conditioning was either broken, not efficient or hard to adjust, leading to uncomfortable room temperatures, and others said the Wi-Fi signal was bad in the rooms and was only really decent at reception.
