Hotel Riad Magellan Yoga and Spa (Marrakech, Morocco)

Riad Magellan is just a couple of minutes' walk from Marrakech's central Jemaa El Fna Square. Guests really seemed to enjoy being so close to the action, since it meant they could experience the hustle and bustle of the square, but then retreat to the tranquilly of their riad without having to travel very far at all.

Many guests, just after stating how wonderfully central the riad was, went on to add that it was also remarkably quite. It seems that it is situated in a relatively quiet side street and is sheltered from much of area's noise.

Whatever other small problems guests had here and there, the cleanliness of their room certainly wasn't one of them. Many guests commented that their room was very clean on check-in, and seemed to remain that way during the course of their stay.

Several guests were disappointed to discover that the Wi-Fi signal did not seem to reach most of the rooms. As a result, they had to go to the lobby to connect with the world beyond, something they found a little inconvenient.

While this was a bit of a Marrakech cliché, several guest said that the riad was quite difficult to find. Taxi drivers may take some time to chance on it, and after nightfall t becomes even more difficult. A pre-arranged airport transfer on arrival was recommended.

Though not often mentioned, one or two guests did say that they found that their room was a bit dark. It may be that the riad uses low-watt bulbs, or perhaps that the colour scheme in some rooms is a tad too dark for some guests.
