Hotel Rey Carlos (Playa del Inglés, Spain)

Guests enjoyed the hotel’s proximity, just set back from the beach for relaxing, and right next to the massive dune system.

Many of the guests to the Rey Carlos found the staff to show initiative, be helpful and friendly, quick to offer help, recommend the local region and solve a problem.

The rooms and the public spaces were clean and tidy on entry, said many of the guests, free of dust and grime, and well presented, making the guests feel further welcomed on arrival.

These days Wi-Fi is fast becoming considered a utility, on par with hot water, by many guests. Unfortunately at Rey Carlos, a number of guests said that despite paying for Wi-Fi they received a very weak signal, it was hard to access, or it dropped out regularly.

While some guests really enjoyed the hotel’s breakfast buffet, others felt it was not adequate, either suffering from a lack of variety or taste, or the hours were limiting.

While guests thought the rooms were nice and tidy on face value, many thought the hotel was a throw back to the 70s, and in of a refurbishment, saying furnishings and facilities were beginning to tire and become worn out.
