Most found they enjoyed the helpful and pleasant front desk staff, and were greeted with warm smiles and cheerful instructions upon arrival.

Large beds that most found comfortable, pleasing ocean views (from upper floors), functioning amenities and adequate provisions for towels, coffee and bedding. Some rooms seem more recently renovated than others with guests admiring the fresh paint and new flooring - some even with new-looking hot tubs in the corner of the main areas. Table, chairs, microwave, mini-fridge, couch (in some) desk and decent television reception. Ask for a newly refurbished unit if possible - you may have a very different experience otherwise.

Not directly on the beach, but it's only a one-minute stroll away from the sandy shores and south side of the pier. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Some didn't feel comfortable with the amount of loitering outside, nor the demeanor of some of the other guests and their visitors. This is apparently home to a significant number of folks who enjoy a good party. Lots of noise from the parking lot, voices and doors slamming into the wee hours. Thin walls inside don't help the situation. Wildlife ExtravaganzaBed bugs, cockroaches, drowned mice in toilets and even frogs have been found in these rooms. If you don't see anything at first, just pull back the sheets or lift up the mattress - they're around somewhere! Dirty and outdated spaces attract them, of course, and areas awaiting refurb (and thorough cleaning) are abound here.
