If you are visiting Hobart to see the sights, then this hotel is a pretty good base for your trip. There are plenty of things to do and see nearby, and Salamanca Square is just a short walk away. The waterfront isn't too far either, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Guests have been impressed by the attitude of the staff at this hotel. They aren't always on-site, but when they are, they are more than happy to help out with local advice and tips on where to eat.

You won't find a speck of dust anywhere in this hotel where the rooms are in spotless condition. You won't get housekeeping during your stay unless you request it, but they do make sure that the rooms are cleaned thoroughly before you check in.

This place has seen better days and guests are surprised that it hasn't been renovated for quite some time. The furniture is old and worn while the décor is like something from the seventies. It's not really welcoming at all.

You are supposed to be staying in self-catering accommodation at this place, but guests have found it difficult to cook with very few utensils supplied. You'll probably need to buy some stuff just to cook a meal which isn't what you expect.
