Hotel Quality Suites (Sulphur, USA)

The hotel makes an ideal base. There’s so much to do within a close range. There are several casinos if you like to try your luck. A ballpark is close by and you will find good eating too. There is a cultural center and museum nearby and of course, Lake Charles where you can participate in water activities like boating and fishing. There seems to be a lot of business people staying at the hotel as well.

The breakfast will pass as adequate. They serve eggs, sausages, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and more goodies.

The check-in staff are a nice group. They offer a pleasant smile that never seems to wane.

You will have to initial a document upon check-in for the cost of the safe in the room, even if you don’t use it. The catch is that you have to “remind them” of the deposit upon checkout to be sure you receive a refund.

It’s an old establishment that needs some work. The décor leaves a lot to be desired and the price is too high for what you get. Stained bedding and curtains, mold in the bathroom, bad mildew, dirty walls, and a dirty pool, is what you may find yourself walking into. What’s more, these indiscretions are noticeable during the evening, just wait till morning with natural light!

There are offensive smells all over the hotel, especially in the elevator and corridors. It’s those types of smells you can’t really put your finger on, but the odor is atrocious!
