Guests taking in a football game, or attending to business on the University of Notre Dame's campus, were very pleased with the location of this hotel. Located across the street, you can walk to the South end of the university in no time.

Some items of furniture like chairs and desks had been recently replaced in rooms. Guests also noted newer bathrooms in several guest rooms, and what appeared to be newly purchased mattresses.

If you need some extra space, this might be the hotel for you. Guests found that rooms were larger than an average hotel room, and enjoyed the spacious feeling rooms provided.

A few things seemed to need repairing or replacing at the Quality Inn & Suites South Bend. Malfunctioning TVs, peeling paint, and sub-standard air-conditioning were a few complaints guests had of this hotel. Lax housekeeping was also a problem noticed by many, with issues like moldy bathrooms and unchanged sheets.

While guests appreciated the fact that breakfast was free at this hotel, they didn't appreciate the selection of food. A basic offering of cereal, pastries, and fruit proved to be inadequate for some guests who were accustomed to hot breakfast offerings at other hotels.

Some guests got a few surprises at this hotel, with a shower that couldn't decide if it was hot or cold. Morning showers were hit and miss with low water pressure, and a sometimes uncomfortable experience trying to get ready in the morning.
