The Hotel Location Is Full Of Life
You will find plenty to do near the hotel. The theater, downtown, and Creeper Trail are close by. A restaurant is next door, the highway is almost around the corner, and there a winery and several shops close by. Standard fast food restaurants are within walking distance and there is a gas station across the road in case you need a quick fill-up. Overall, it’s a small lovely town.

Value For Money
You won’t feel ripped off while staying at this hotel. Cleanliness is above average, beds are comfortable, and rooms are spacious. Showers provide a burst of hot water and the bathroom in general is clean and a good size. The TV works fine too. The hotel lobby is also quaint, clean, and tastefully decorated.

Breakfast Variety Is Amazing!
If you’re looking for a hotel that offers a mean breakfast, this is it! You will rarely find a free breakfast with such variety. Everything from several types of eggs, good ole’ southern grits, gravy and biscuits, potatoes, waffles, sweet roles, coffee, the whole gamut is served.

negative:
It's Too Dark!
The ceilings are high, which makes the lighting too dim. The wall color is too dark, which doesn’t help the light issue either.

Staff Can Be Somewhat Blunt
Staff members can be curt at times. For example, unplugging breakfast warmers while visitors are standing there because it’s a few minutes past breakfast time, without so much as a “hello” or “sorry” is not cool. Or, refusing to help a visitor with telephone issues in their room because, well…there’s nothing that can be done about it. Staff needs a bit more customer service training.

The Pool Is Green!
Carefully check the pool before jumping in, you may find it full of green algae.
