The Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport is a great choice if you are in town for a short stopover or for the first time. The terminals are a five-minute walk through the Skypark, and the hotel also offers a complimentary "drop off" bus service to the Grand Mosque, Yas Island, Ferrari World Theme Park, the Corniche, and several other popular places.

Even if you arrive in the middle of the night or worn-out from a very long flight, the reception staff are friendly and welcoming, happy to explain all the hotel's amenities and to answer questions. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job, always pleasant and professional. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are very well maintained and relaxing, with a nice view over the runways and plenty of loungers.

Accommodations in Abu Dhabi can be expensive, but this hotel asks a very fair price for the clean, comfortable rooms with Wi-Fi and parking included. Book a family room if you are travelling with young ones; these rooms have a sleeper sofa and kids under 16 stay for free. Baby cots are also free of charge.

The rooms are on the smaller side, and they can get especially "cosy" if you have the sleeper sofa pulled out or a baby cot. The purple decor probably isn't for everyone, either.

The complimentary shuttle is not round-trip, so be prepared to pay for a taxi or find other transportation home from downtown. There is free parking on site if you prefer to drive.

The food in the on-site restaurant is of reasonable quality for the price, but breakfast is rarely included in the room rate.
