The price for both the food served in the adjoining restaurant and for the accommodation is reasonable. The Inn offers good value for money for those who want no frills, budget accommodation in a pleasant setting.

Those working here are very friendly, warm and welcoming. They go out of their way to help and to ensure their guests feel at ease and catered for.

It’s just a short walk to the restaurant and bar next door where in good weather the beautiful, peaceful canal view can be taken in while enjoying a drink or a meal. There is very little traffic noise to disturb the peace and the pub noise doesn’t extend to the accommodation.

Breakfast is advertised as being served from seven in the morning until eleven. Some guests arrived to find there would be no breakfast at all, others found it wouldn’t be served until eleven onwards and others found that standard items like bread rolls weren’t included in the meal.

The rooms are in need of a little tender loving care as they currently are a little tired and worn. Some of the bedding and soft furnishings need to be upgraded and the furniture and fixtures replaced or repaired.

The wireless Internet signal doesn’t stretch as far as the accommodation part of this complex of inn, restaurant and bar. To access it, guests must go to the Bar and Restaurant area.
