Positive Reviews
positive:
Located in a bit of a local area
The hotel is not in the centre of Seville, but this did not seem to matter too much to guests. Many liked the fact that area was more residential, with mostly local people from Seville living there. They were glad not to be surrounded by other tourists all the time.
positive:
Very pleasant owner and staff
The guests complimented the staff on being very friendly and helpful, but indicated that the tone was set from the top, with the owner being described as extremely hands-on. Guests speak of him often going above and beyond to make sure his guests have the best time possible.
positive:
Decent breakfast
Although guests didn't exactly say it was the best breakfast they ever had, they seemed fairly pleased with it. The variety was said to be poor, but more than made up for in taste and quantity.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking expensive and thin on the ground
Many of today's modern SUV style cars can't fit into the hotels own garage, and in any event there seems to be only limited parking there. Parking might be a problem throughout Seville, and guests recommended that if possible others do should not bring their cars.
negative:
Weak Wi-Fi
Unfortunately Plaza Santa Lucia did not escape the curse of the poor hotel Wi-Fi. There were quite a few complaints about the Wi-Fi signal not reaching a great deal further than reception, making it difficult to use in practice.
negative:
Some rooms with very small showers
It seems that two of the hotel's rooms have extremely small showers - small enough to make even normal sized people feel uncomfortable using. If allocated one of these rooms it may be best to ask to switch rooms.
