Outstanding staff
The front desk staff, valets, and shuttle drivers have received rave reviews for their personable and professional customer service. The concierge team is very knowledgeable about the area and are happy to provide directions and recommend restaurants. Guests frequently comment that they are greeted warmly by every staff member they happen to meet throughout the day, from housekeeping to management.

The recently renovated guests rooms are generally described as spotlessly clean and comfortable. Many of the rooms on the upper floors offer inspiring views of the city, though guests on lower floors note they can enjoy the view from the pool deck, on the 11th floor. Guests also frequently comment on the pleasantly "fresh" smell of the rooms and linens.

Guests can walk to many of the city's top attractions, including the CONSOL Energy Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, as well as PNC Park, the Andy Warhol Museum, and many restaurants. There is also a hotel shuttle with a mile radius, and the nearest subway station, Steel Plaza, is just a few steps away.

Small bathrooms..
Guests often comment that the bathrooms are small in relation to the 'roomy' bedroom and living area, a challenge for travelers with small children.

Patience is a virtue..
Several guests have noted that there are three elevators servicing the building's 12 floors, and some have waited as long as 20 minutes for a lift. A few guests used the time to inspect the general condition of the hallways, which are a little "tired" in comparison with the rooms.
