Terrific tours and activities available
Although these aren't actually run by the hotel, they can advise and book a wide variety of watersports and other activities. This was, of course, the main reason most came to the Maldives, and going by guest comments it seems they were very satisfied indeed that they had the opportunity to fully participate.

Good local cuisine
While breakfast wasn't really enjoyed, and the other meals received mixed reviews, one point that most seemed to agree on was that there was a great variety of local Maldivian cuisine available for lunch and dinner. While Western food was also available, guests were very happy that they could sample authentic Maldivian food.

Absolutely incredible staff
Again and again guests mentioned that staff only performed their duties well, but often went far “above and beyond” to make sure that guest needs were met. Perhaps because of the fact that the island is so small, and everyone knows each other, it seems that every staff member was prepared to pitch in, whatever their job description.

Breakfast was very monotonous
While the other two meals did garner some praise, there was not a lot showered on the breakfast. It was described as fairly skimpy to begin with, and seemed to consist of the same thing every day.

Uncomfortable mattresses
While it is certainly not uncommon to read negative comments about a hotel's mattresses, simply due to different personal tastes, there were too many complaints here to ignore. It seems that the mattresses may really be a bit uncomfortable in a general sense.

The beach a little far away
Although guests conceded this was a minor point, since the island is fairy small, it was pointed out that the public beach is further from Picnic Inn than from most other places.
