About Piazza Del Gesu Luxury Suites
Set in the ancient heart of the city, near the Pantheon and Coliseum, Piazza Del Gesu Luxury Suites offers luxury accommodation that is both elegant and understated.
The 10 suites are chic and very leading-edge, with a bit of a Zen feel to them. Each features air conditioning, minibar, flat screen TV, hairdryer and memory foam mattresses.
Piazza Del Gesu is a small establishment and there are not many public facilities. The staff will be happy to advise and assist in any way they can.
A basic Italian breakfast is available every morning. For other meals, the staff will be happy to offer excellent local dining recommendations.
The location is especially good for those exploring the ancient parts of the city. The Pantheon is just 500 yards away and the Coliseum just less than a mile.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location for exploring Rome
While not that close to the shopping and social centre near the Spanish Steps, Piazza Del Gusu's location was appreciated by guests who had more of an interest in Rome's ancient past. The forum, Pantheon and Coliseum were all said to be within walking distance and the other sites just a short metro or bus ride away.
positive:
Rooms very well appointed
The property bills itself as a collection of luxury suites, and going by guest comments it does not seem that they disagree with the classification. They said that they found the rooms very well decorated and furnished.
positive:
Welcoming and professional hostess
Guests couldn't seem to say enough good things about the hostess, Jessica. Firstly, they said that her English skills were very good, and secondly, that she was exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Standard rooms are very small
A couple of guests were quite shocked by the size of the standard rooms. While the rooms were said to be very luxurious and well appointed, the standard rooms were described as exceptionally small
negative:
No tea or coffee making facilities
While it did not quite cause a guest revolt, there were some who were clearly unhappy about not having in room tea and coffee making facilities. These were sorely missed, especially, it seems, by British visitors.
negative:
Location a bit noisy
Though it seemed to surprise no one, several guests pointed out that the location was quite noisy, with cars and people passing by outside. For the most part guests accepted this as a condition of staying in the centre of one of the world's most vibrant cities.
