Positive Reviews
positive:
Nice dining selections to choose from
Guests enjoy the onsite dining, especially the freshness and uniqueness of the free breakfast. It adds a nice touch to the Southern ambience, and stands out as something more than just the usual hotel buffet. The restaurants are just as pleasant and satisfying, and a bonus to the inn's charm.
positive:
Convenient for exploring the region's outdoors
Phoenix Greenville's Inn is in a great location for checking out the city's Nature and cultural sites of interest. It's easy to get to and from here with sports', photo, and picnic gear, and there's plenty to do that doesn't make you reliant on driving a car.
positive:
Safe and secure for solo travelers
Many guests are a bit concerned enroute to the inn, as it doesn't seem like an overwhelmingly safe neighborhood to be in. Yet, it fortunately turns out to be a secure and comfortable place to stay, and solo, female, and young travelers consider it a reliable option for overnight lodging.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Shoddy housekeeping and maintenance
Housekeeping and upkeep don't receive high marks, as there's often dirt, grime, dust, and trash left behind from previous guests. The linens and towels don't always seem fresh, and are not consistently replaced during your own stay.
negative:
A/Cs and bar noise are disruptive
If the bar and/or traffic noise don't bother you, then using the air conditioner may. The units make a lot of noise, which may either be a benefit in masking other loud sounds, or a negative by being the source of a disruptive sleep.
negative:
Smoking odors aren't fully removed
Whether you're a smoker or not, the smells don't seem to be entirely removed from the smoking rooms, and the nearby areas where it's likely to waft. If you're sensitive, make sure to let the staff know.
