Located in the quaint village of Patterdale and in between two mountains, the local area is ripe for exploring. positive:
Great, varied food.
With the Patterdale Hotel having a dedicated restaurant and pub both serving food, it should come as no surprise that they take mealtime very seriously. Most guests are very appreciative of this, and have given rave reviews for the locally sourced food served up at the hotel.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Soundproofing is an issue.
A number of previous guests at the Patterdale Hotel have noted that the rooms tend to filter through external noise. The thin walls attribute to this according to past visitors, where noise from other guests at the hotel can be bothersome.
negative:
Wi-Fi is unreliable.
Visitors to the hotel have made note that the Wi-Fi is not particularly strong. While access is satisfactory in public areas of the hotel, the Wi-Fi is very temperamental in the rooms – to the point where it didn’t work at all.
negative:
Décor dated in places.
Another problem brought up by past guests relates to the Patterdale Hotel’s décor, which has been described as dated in certain areas. However, this is only a minor complaint and didn’t tend to spoil the overall high quality that the hotel possesses.
