Guests complimented the various leisure facilities on offer at the resort stating that they exceeded their expectations. The golf-course was said to be both challenging and well- presented whilst those who visited the on-site gym said that they were impressed with the modern and high-tech equipment. Guests who chose to have specialist treatments at the spa described their experience as very positive and said that they would highly recommend them. .

The resort is surrounded by 200 acres of grounds complete with landscaped gardens and a golf course which provide a very peaceful and picturesque backdrop. Guests said that they enjoyed the scenic views from their balconies as well as the calming and relaxed atmosphere. .

Many of the guests said that they were extremely impressed with the level of service they received at the resort. All members of staff were described as friendly and courteous, often going the extra mile in order to make the guests feel comfortable and at ease. .

Some guests said that they were quite disappointed with the valet service as they often had to wait longer than expected in order to get their vehicles. Lack of staff was singled out as one of the reasons behind the slow service. .

The village of Carlsbad is not within walking distance of the resort and some guests were disappointed to find that they had to drive in order to reach some of the local amenities and attractions.

Guests said that the service at breakfast was quite disorganised as they often had to queue for quite some time in order to get a seat at one of the tables. Many mentioned that there was a visible shortage of staff which contributed to the delays. .
